November 9th kicks off one of our favorite fundraising programs of the year: the Scholastic Book Fair at Highview Elementary! The theme this year is Enchanted Forest Book Fair: Let Your Imagination Grow!

This literacy program helps promote reading; exposes our children to a variety of engaging, relevant, and affordable books; and expands our childrens’ personal, classroom, and school libraries. And, every purchase made at the book fair helps to raise money and earn books for our schools.

We are in urgent need of volunteers to assist the third and fourth grade students during their browse and buy days. We are asking all of our Miller and Highview families and PTA members to consider volunteering on any one of the book fair days, even if it’s only for 30 minutes. Volunteering at this event is a very rewarding and easy way to help a child connect with a book and foster his or her interest in reading!

If you are not able to volunteer for a full 3-hour time slot, add your availability in the note section on the sign up page so we may schedule you accordingly.
